08 August 2009. New Look for Newplast 500g and a Further Extension to the Range. Newclay Products is introducing a new, modern wrapper design for its entire Newplast 500g range. Current production of Newplast 500g Rainbow and Newplast 500g White is already in the new wrapper and other colours will follow as stocks are replaced. At the same time, we are delighted to announce the 25th member of the Newplast 500g range of colours: Newplast 500g Multicultural. Newplast is the material of choice for the vast majority of animators (including Aardman Animation). Newplast 500g Multicultural is designed to supplement the products targeted primarily for animation and education by enabling creation of skin tones for all ethnic groups around the world. The bar contains one strip each of White, Stone, Grey, Yellow, Peach, Brown, Black, Terracotta and Flesh Newplast. For larger-scale work, Newclay Products can also supply the Newplast Multicultural Box, containing 20 Newplast 500g bars, as follows: Newplast White, Stone, Grey, Yellow, Peach, Brown, Black, Terracotta and Flesh. |

To enable one of our major customers to maintain supplies of dough for schools, Newclay Products has introduced a new addition to the Finger Soft Dough range. The new pack contains six 150g pots of Finger Soft Dough, one each of yellow, orange, red, blue, green and white dough. In the interests of filling a hole in the market quickly, the new 6-pack has been introduced with temporary labels. Depending on demand, new labels will be introduced in due course. Newplast has been used extensively and very successfully in industry for many years. In response to a demand for a similar material that is more quickly workable, particularly in cooler conditions, Newclay Products has developed a product designed to meet the specific needs of specialists such as locksmiths, who have used Newplast for anything from aligning window catches to an essential ‘third hand’. Both products contain eight different colours and 2.4Kg of Newclay’s very popular modelling dough in a convenient plastic tub, aimed primarily at educational suppliers. The Finger Soft Dough 2.4Kg 8-Colour Tub contains 300g each of White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, Blue, Brown and Black dough, and Finger Soft Dough 2.4Kg Multicultural contains 300g each of all the colours necessary to create skin tones for any ethnic group on the planet. 18 September 2011. Hampton Court Flower Show. |

Newclay Products extends its congratulations to Sam Ovens and Oliver Ramsey of University College Falmouth for the silver medal awarded to their conceptual garden design at the Hampton Court Flower Show in July. The garden comprised a wooden box within a wild flower garden surrounded by silver birch, intended to be a secluded and safe place where visitors could stop and reflect. Wrapped around the box was a ‘red clay’ strip that visitors could interact with, impressing on it a form of their own. The action of moulding the clay and leaving something tangible behind aimed not only to be personally satisfying but it also contributed to a continually evolving piece of sculpture. The garden featured prominently in the BBC Television programme of highlights presented by Monty Don. What Monty did not mention was that the ‘clay strip’ was in fact our very own Newplast non-drying, non-setting modelling material, as used by Aardman Animations and all discerning model makers around the world. The red Newplast was supplied in special long, solid blocks to fit snugly into wooden trays designed to enable the clay to be replaced periodically during the show. This is an example of Newclay Products active involvement in the creative process of using our products and our ability to meet the challenges of a bespoke project. |
